BILL NUMBER:A7938A

Title of bill

An act authorizing the village of Victor, county of Ontario to transfer and convey certain municipally owned lands to the town of Victor, county of Ontario

Purpose or general idea of bill

This legislation would authorize the transfer of certain parklands ("Paparone Park"), consisting of approximately 16.5 acres of land situate in the County of Ontario, Town of Victor, along the easterly side of Brace Road.

Justification

Legislative approval will facilitate the Town's plans to develop a proposed Community Center within Paparone Park following receipt of necessary approvals from the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. It is the Town's intention to keep Paparone Park (and the Community Center following its development) open to residents of the Town of Victor and the Village of Victor for recreational purposes. In addition, this is a procedural issue and there will be no loss of parkland.
