BILL NUMBER:A8707
Title of bill
An act to validate, ratify and confirm the expenditure, by the William Floyd union free school district of the Mastics-Morich- es-Shirley, Suffolk county, New York, of proceeds from certain bonds issued by the district pursuant to certain bond resolutions adopted by such district
Purpose
To validate, ratify, and confirm certain prior expenditures of the District pursuant to three separate bond resolutions adopted by the District, thereby eliminating the deficits that presently appear in the District's Capital Projects Fund.
Summary of provisions
This bill validates, ratifies and confirms the prior expenditures of the proceeds of obligations issued pursuant to the bond resolutions adopted by the District on December 13, 1993, December 5, 1994 and December 16, 1999, notwithstanding that a portion of such obligations were issued for certain stated objects or purposes, as referred to in such bond resol- utions, and the proceeds were expended for different objects or purposes, which were authorized pursuant to the several bond resolutions referred herein.
Justification
Due to clerical errors, the District expended portions of the proceeds of obligations issued for certain stated objects of purposes for differ- ent objects or purposes; however, in no. instance did the District expend more money than that which was approved by the voters at referen- dum. This act will allow the District to reallocate such expenditures, as needed, in the District's Capital Projects Fund to eliminate the deficit that appears therein.
