Purpose or general idea of bill
Establishes a task force for the purpose of analyzing the sustainability of supporting independent postsecondary institutions with Bundy Aid and other state funding.
Summary of specific provisions
The task force shall be composed of thirteen members to be appointed by the governor, the temporary president of the senate and the speaker of the assembly. The task force shall have the powers of a legislative committee as provided in article 4 of the legislative law, to solicit, collect and analyze from the appropriate sources, any materials regarding the expenditure of the state on independent postsecondary institutions, for the purpose of investigating the sustainability of supporting such institutions with direct unrestricted financial support.
