An act to authorize John P. O'Leary to apply for retroactive membership in the New York state and local employees' retirement system
Purpose
To authorize John P. O'Leary to apply for and be granted retroactive membership in the New York state and local employees' retirement system from Tier IV to Tier II status.
Summary of provisions
Section 1 - Authorizes John P. O'Leary to apply for and be granted retroactive membership in the New York state and local employees' retirement system.
Section 2 - Indicates that no employee contributions shall be returned to Mr. O'Leary. Such contributions shall be used to offset any past service credit costs incurred due to the implementation of the provisions of this act.
Section 3 -All past service costs of implementing the provisions of this act shall be borne of the county of Westchester. Section 4 - Effective date.
Justification
John P. O'Leary was employed as a Westchester County Legislator from January 1, 1976 until June 30, 1985.
