Purpose or general idea of bill
To allow child care providers to not allow certain personal information to be provided online.
Summary of specific provisions
This legislation amends section 390 of the social services law by adding a new subdivision 8-a. The new subdivision makes it unlawful for the Office of Children and Family Services to give a child care provider's street address and map showing the location of their home online without allowing the provider to opt out of the online posting of this information.
Justification
