Justification
During the years 2005-2013, New York state will mark, within its borders, the 250th anniversary of the great battles of the French and Indian War. New York State, its counties, cities, towns and villages may profit, both culturally and economically, from the benefits of a statewide commission to help organize, promote and fully implement a major commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of the French and Indian War.
By promoting New York States magnificent history, we can make New York the ultimate heritage tourism destination for the years 2005-2013. The commission will also help us coordinate with our Canadian neighbors in Quebec and Ontario who share this heritage with us and can be great partners with the promotion of this.
