BILL NUMBER:S8382
Title of bill
An act in relation to state aid payments to the Bethlehem central school district
Purpose
Authorizes the department of education to consider school aid computer listing filed by the Bethlehem central School District as a valid and proper filing.
Summary of specific provisions
Section 1: Authorizes the Commissioner of Education to use the May 15, 2010 database to reimburse the Bethlehem Central School District for its Full Day Kindergarten Program.
Section 2: Effective date.
Justification
The Bethlehem Central School District was promised Full Day Kindergarten Conversion Aid to fund their implementation of a Full Day Kindergarten Program for the 2009-2010 school year. Unfortunately, due to a clerical error on the reporting of date on the June 30, 2009 annual report, the promised aid was not included in the Executive Budget. This legislation would remedy this situation by providing the Commissioner of Education the authority to use the May 15, 2010 database to reimburse the Bethlehem Central School District for its Full Day Kindergarten program.
Prior legislative history

Fiscal implications
