Statement in support
Festivals, Fairs and other special events are important tourist attractions and economic development engines around New York State. The ability of a wine manufacturer to host, sponsor or participate in such events and to sell wine, is also important in that it promotes the Wine industry and enhances the atmosphere of these events. This bill would address a problem in the alcohol and beverage law, in order to allow companies that produce 150,000 gallons or less of wine each year to participate in special events with a temporary permit for a fee of $26.
