BILL NUMBER:S7058

Title of bill

An act to amend the education law, in relation to contracts for technology and telecommunications services between boards of cooperative educational services and third-party vendors

Purpose or general idea of bill

To allow BOCES to contract with third-party vendors to support or provide technology, telecommunications and related services to school districts and expands who BOCES can enter into contracts with for information technology and internet services to include municipalities.

Section one of the bill amends subparagraph 7 of paragraph h of subdivision 4 of section 1950 of the education law.

Section two off the bill amends subdivision 4 of section 1950 of the education law.
