Justification

The New York State Board of Regents should hold itself to the highest level of transparency. The Board of Regents presently posts the agenda and corresponding materials on their website, however, such information is not provided in a timely manner. Providing the agenda to the public with adequate notice will allow stakeholders the appropriate time to respond and discuss the issues. This includes, students, parents, teachers and advocates. Furthermore, such transparency will encourage more involvement from the public and will foster an improved dialogue between both the Board of Regents and other educational stakeholders.
