An act to amend the highway law, in relation to designating the Scajaquada pedestrian bridge as the "Scajaquada 9/11 Memorial Bridge"
Purpose or general idea of bill
This bill would designate the Scajaquada pedestrian bridge as the "Scajaquada 9/11 Memorial Bridge."
Summary of specific provisions
Section 1 designates the Scajaquada pedestrian bridge as the "Scajaquada 9/11 Memorial Bridge" spanning New York State Route 198, from Nottingham Terrace to Hoyt Lake in Delaware Park in the city of Buffalo.
Justification
Since 2003, an annual remembrance takes place atop the bridge on the anniversary of September 11, 2001.
