BILL NUMBER:S4997
Title of bill
An act to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to fees for a bowhunting privilege for persons aged fifteen years and under
Purpose or general idea of bill
To reduce the fee for a bowhunting privilege for persons aged fifteen and under from $5.00 to $4.00.
Summary of specific provisions
Subdivision 3 of section 11-0715 of the environmental conservation law, as amended by section 5 of part R of chapter 58 of the laws of 2013, is amended to provide $4.00 fee for a bowhunting privilege for persons aged fifteen and under.
Justification
The 2013-14 budget included across-the-board reductions in hunting and fishing license, permit and privilege fees. The budget inadvertently excluded a fee reduction for a bowhunting privilege for persons aged fifteen and under, requiring this legislation action.
