BILL NUMBER:S5847

Title of bill

An act to amend the social services law, in relation to the statewide central register of child abuse and maltreatment

Section 2 contains the effective date.

Justification

This statement is intended to reference falsely report- ing child abuse, however, the current reference to section 240.55 of the Penal Law refers to making a bomb threat. This legislation corrects this error and references the appropriate section of Penal Law.
