Purpose
This bill would broaden the committee's study and evaluation of programs beyond only triad programs.
Summary of provisions
Section 1. This section removes specific references to triad programs as the response and program to be studied by the committee. Triad programs are included as an option, but language is added to allow for additional programs to be considered.
Section 2. Effective Date.
Justification
The problem of crimes against the elderly is growing and ever-changing. The Committee for the Coordination of Police Services to Elderly Persons should be able to consider new approaches and programs in addition to current ideas.
