Title of bill
An act relating to the transfer and conveyance of certain lands to Joseph's Home, Inc.
Purpose or general idea of bill
The purpose of this bill is to assist Joseph's Home, Inc. to expand the services it provides by authorizing a transfer of portion of the Rock- land Psychiatric Center to Joseph's Home, Inc in consideration of fair market value.
Summary of specific provisions
This bill authorizes the commissioner of general services, upon the consent of the commissioner of mental health, to transfer and convey for one dollar a 1.461 acre parcel of unused state land located at the Rock- land Psychiatric Center to Joseph's Home, Inc.
Joseph's Home Inc. is required to submit an application for transfer and an accurate survey of the parcel to the commissioner of general services within one year of the effective date of this act.
