BILL NUMBER:S5425A
Title of bill
An act to authorize the conveyance of title of certain parklands in the village of Penn Yan
Purpose
To authorize the village of Penn Yan to convey certain real property to Keuka Outlet Development, LLC
Summary of provisions
Section 1 amends section 2 of chapter 353 of the laws of 1972 to authorize the Village of Penn Yan to discontinue the use of certain park lands and to convey such land by sale or exchange.
Section 2 gives the location and description of the parcel of land
Section 3 authorizes the village of Penn Yan to convey to Keuka Outlet Development, LLC the real property described in section 2 of chapter 353 of the laws of 1972 as amended in section 1.
Section 4 gives the effective date of this act.
Justification
In 1972 the NYS Legislature authorized the transfer of certain lands at Chapter 353 page 783 to the former owner of the property, Penn Yan Boats, Inc. and their discontinuance as parkland in exchange for other parcels of land. It has been determined that the legal description of the lands included in the 1972 legislation erroneously left out a portion of the lands to be conveyed and this legislation would correct this error.
Fiscal implication
None
