Purpose or general idea of bill

Makes technical corrections to provisions of law relating to charitable corporations.

Summary of specific provisions

This bill makes technical corrections to certain sections of the not-for-profit corporation law for the purposes of:

*Making certain terms gender neutral; *Correcting inconsistent terms; and *Making amendments to conform to the provisions of the chapter 549 of the laws of 2013 (the Non-Profit Revitalization Act of 2013)

Justification

In 2013, the Non-Profit Revitalization Act of 2013 was enacted (Chapter 549), which made major changes and improvement to the state's not-for-profit corporation law.
