Title of bill
An act to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to the reciprocity between this state and other states of the participation of recreational vehicle dealers in recreational vehicle shows and exhibits
Purpose
This bill would make reciprocity between this state and other states of the participation in recreational vehicle shows and exhibits by recreational vehicle dealers.
Summary of provisions
Section 1 - Amends section 419 of the vehicle and traffic law, as added by chapter 326 of the laws of 1997.
Section 2 - Effective date
Justification
It is only equitable that other states which seek to have recreational vehicle shows and exhibits within NYS extend the same courtesy to NYS recreational vehicle dealers who wish to hold shows and exhibits in those states. Therefore, this legislation would amend the law to ensure that only those states which provide this reciprocity to NY would be afforded the same privilege in NYS.
