Justification
Information about state grants and tax expenditures are generally not easily accessible and transparent to the public in terms of covering a period over multiple years and being searchable online.
This legislation would authorize the creation of a single, searchable State economic development grants and tax expenditures database Web site to promote making New York State Government more transparent and accountable to the public.
Fiscal implications
Minimal to the State.
Effective date
This act shall take effect after ninety days of enactment.
