Title of bill
An act to authorize the town of Brookhaven to extend the boundaries of the Setauket fire district to include the village of Old Field
Purpose or general idea of bill
To extend the Setauket fire district boundaries to include the village of Old Field.
Summary of specific provisions
The Suffolk Town Board is authorized, in accordance with subdivision 2 of section 170 of town law, to extend the Setauket fire district to include the village of Old Field. Such fire district and town board shall be subject to the provisions of article 11 of the town law.
Justification
The Town of Brookhaven will extend the Setauket fire district boundaries to serve the village of Old Field. The Setauket fire district will include Old Field in its entirety for the purposes of providing fire protection and emergency response.
