This bill extends the authorization for individuals to fish with up to three lines in freshwater until December 31, 2019.
Why it matters

Delaying the expiration of this rule gives state environmental regulators more time to study its impact. on fish populations and aquatic ecosystems, helping to inform future policy decisions about sustainable fishing practices.
The extension may benefit local economies, especially in areas where freshwater fishing is a significant recreational or tourism activity. , by encouraging continued participation and spending by anglers who prefer using multiple lines.
