Mandating regular reviews. ensures that suicide prevention programs are continuously updated, potentially making them more effective as new challenges and risk factors emerge over time.

Focusing on minority group needs. acknowledges that individuals from racial, ethnic, religious, sexual, and gender minority backgrounds may face unique risk factors or stigma, leading to more targeted and equitable interventions.
Requiring evidence-based best practices. for screening and intervention increases the likelihood that programs will use proven methods, potentially improving outcomes for at-risk populations.
