What's happening

This resolution commends Pamela Clark Robbins for being named Business Person of the Year by the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce.

Why it matters

  1. Highlights the broader impact of Pamela Clark Robbins’ leadership. By emphasizing her role as founder and CEO of Policy Research Associates, the resolution underscores how her work in behavioral health and social services has had national significance, benefitting vulnerable populations far beyond her local community.

  2. Reinforces the importance of civic and community engagement. Robbins’ extensive involvement in local committees, youth organizations, and charitable initiatives demonstrates how business leaders can play crucial roles in shaping local policy, supporting youth development, and driving community-based fundraising efforts.

  3. Showcases the value of workplace culture and local investment. The mention of PRA’s recognition as a top workplace and its commitment to hiring and volunteering locally points to the ripple effect that supportive businesses can have on local economies and community well-being.

  4. Serves as a model of public recognition for sustained service. By formally commending Robbins, the resolution sets a precedent for honoring individuals whose professional success is matched by long-term, hands-on community service, potentially inspiring similar engagement by others.
