Honor Majah Hype in Brooklyn

Senate Resolution No. 4365 BY: Senator PARKER COMMENDING Majah Hype upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by East Flatbush Village, Inc. on April 19, 2018 WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and WHEREAS, Majah Hype has given not only of his time and energies but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has been designated for special honor; and WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Majah Hype upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by East Flatbush Village, Inc. to be celebrated at its Ten Year Anniversary Event on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at the Tropical Paradise Ballroom in Brooklyn, New York; and WHEREAS, In addition to being recognized for his steadfast and unremitting commitment to his community, Majah Hype will serve as Master of Ceremony for the evening's festivities; and WHEREAS, Established in 2008, East Flatbush Village, Inc. diligently works to uplift its Neighbors with Neighbors; this vital not-for-profit organization provides programs for young people and provides resources to the entire family which in turn will repair the community; and WHEREAS, Majah Hype is an ambassador of Caribbean culture, using his seamless accents, comedic timing, and true-to-life material to connect people from all walks of life, and, behind the humor is a serious commitment to Caribbean unity; and WHEREAS, Majah Hype has been called upon to contribute his time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given of himself unstintingly; and WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a period of constructive involvement, Majah Hype has stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individual for the benefit of others which Majah Hype has displayed throughout his life; and WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to commend Majah Hype upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by East Flatbush Village, Inc. on April 19, 2018; and be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be transmitted to Majah Hype.
