This resolution commends FACE Africa for hosting its Ninth Annual Wash Gala to raise awareness and funds for clean water projects.
Why it matters
Highlights the critical role of clean water access. By focusing on Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) programs, the resolution underscores that clean water is foundational for improving public health, education, economic development, and gender equality in developing regions.
Draws attention to grassroots and diaspora efforts. The resolution commends not just FACE Africa’s fundraising, but also the broader impact of Africans and Friends of Africa who use their influence and resources to drive positive change within and beyond their communities.
Reinforces the interconnectedness of global development. By linking water access to other development goals (like agriculture, commerce, and self-sufficiency), the resolution helps the public and policymakers see how support for such initiatives can have wide-reaching effects beyond just immediate humanitarian relief.
