Senate Resolution No. 4913 BY: Senator JACOBS HONORING Robert Stevenson upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award by Buffalo Business First on May 15, 2018 WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State; and WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-standing traditions, it is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor Robert Stevenson upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award by Buffalo Business First, to be celebrated at its 2018 Manufacturing Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 15,

2018, at Salvatore's Italian Gardens in Depew, New York; and WHEREAS, The unity of our State and Nation is built upon the compassion of individuals such as Robert Stevenson who uphold the values of community life and who, through their great actions, epitomize the best of humanity; and WHEREAS, Robert Stevenson is the President and CEO of Eastman Machine Company in Buffalo, New York; and WHEREAS, The success of Eastman Machine Company is in direct correlation to the efforts of Robert Stevenson, whose involvement is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the business and the community it serves; and WHEREAS, Robert Stevenson has been called upon to contribute his time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given of himself unstintingly; and WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individual for the benefit of others which Robert Stevenson has displayed throughout his life; and WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to publicly recognize those extraordinary individuals who have made contributions to the success and progress of society in the course of their life's work; and WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is pleased to have this opportunity to express its highest admiration for Robert Stevenson, and to wish him continued success in all of his future endeavors; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to honor Robert Stevenson upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award by Buffalo Business First on May 15,
