June 19, 2018 WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and support events of significance which contribute to the entertainment and vitality of the communities they serve and which exemplify the history and development of the State of New York; and WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Prospect Park Alliance upon the occasion of hosting its Brooklyn Roll Soul Skate on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at the LeFrak Center at Lakeside Prospect Park, Brooklyn, New York; and WHEREAS, Every Tuesday through the first week in September, Prospect Park Alliance will host a unique adventure in timeless soul music from the 1960s and 1970s; and WHEREAS, Hosted by one of Brooklyn's finest, DJ T-Grove, the event will feature physical fitness and positive vibes on wheels along with cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, barbecue, great music and beautiful people; and WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and commend those organizations that have brought entertainment and cultural enrichment to the citizens of the State of New York; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to commend Prospect Park Alliance upon the occasion of hosting its Brooklyn Roll Soul Skate on June 19, 2018; and be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be transmitted to Prospect Park Alliance.
