What's happening
This bill requires banks to post the state’s toll-free consumer complaint hotline alongside existing notices.
Why it matters
Statewide reach. The requirement applies to banking institutions wherever they post the existing required notices in public office areas.
Equal visibility. The Department of Financial Services hotline notice must be equally conspicuous and posted in the same manner as those notices.
Complaint access. The notice would direct dissatisfied customers to a toll-free number where they can file complaints about banking services.
