This bill prohibits billboards advertising alcoholic beverages within 1,000 feet of schools and certain playgrounds in New York.
Why it matters

Broadens the definition of advertising. beyond traditional billboards to include any stationary device or display aimed at attracting the attention of drivers or pedestrians, making enforcement more comprehensive and closing possible loopholes.
May impact local businesses and advertising companies. by restricting where alcohol ads can be placed, potentially leading to changes in marketing strategies and advertising revenue distribution near schools.
