What's happening

This resolution honors Tom Krueger for receiving the Employee of Distinction Award from LeadingAge New York.

Why it matters

  1. Showcases the value of frontline workers in senior care. By honoring a Maintenance-HVAC Technician, the resolution highlights the often-overlooked but vital roles that support staff play in the well-being and comfort of seniors in retirement communities.

  2. Emphasizes community involvement and volunteerism. Tom Krueger’s recognition is not just for his professional work, but also for his extensive volunteer efforts, such as coaching youth sports and building homes with Habitat for Humanity, underlining the broader impact individuals can have on their communities.

  3. Promotes positive role models. The resolution elevates an individual who demonstrates qualities like leadership, compassion, and dedication, serving as an example and inspiration for others in both professional and personal spheres.

  4. Reinforces the importance of not-for-profit and mission-driven organizations. By tying the award to LeadingAge New York, the resolution draws attention to the significance of organizations that prioritize mission and service over profit, advocating for the value they bring to public welfare.
