Ziemba, distinguished citizen and devoted member of her community WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great State of New York; and WHEREAS, Louise E. Ziemba of Lancaster, New York, passed away
February 17, 2020, at the age of 81; and WHEREAS, Louise E. Ziemba was born in Cheektowaga, New York, on
November 12, 1938; she distinguished herself by her sincere dedication to the welfare of her community and was a role model to so many; and WHEREAS, Louise E. Ziemba's commitment to excellence, and her spirit of humanity, carried over into all fields of… Show allHide
November 12, 1938; she distinguished herself by her sincere dedication to the welfare of her community and was a role model to so many; and WHEREAS, Louise E. Ziemba's commitment to excellence, and her spirit of humanity, carried over into all fields of enterprise, including charitable and civic endeavors; and WHEREAS, Louise E. Ziemba was a hard-working and dedicated labor leader at the Hotel and Restaurant Workers and the Western New York Hospital Council, AFL-CIO for 25 years, who cared deeply about working people; and WHEREAS, She was a good friend and wise advisor to the thousands of union members she represented and to all who were lucky enough to cross her path; and WHEREAS, Predeceased by her husband, Carl Ziemba, Louise E. Ziemba is survived by her four sons, Kevin, Marvin (Sandra), Brian, and Darrin; and three grandchildren, Morgan, Erin, and Emily; as well as nieces, nephews, and her friends from the Lancaster Senior Center; and WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of compassion, Louise E. Ziemba leaves behind a legacy which will long endure the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory to all she served and befriended; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to mourn the death of Louise E. Ziemba, distinguished citizen and devoted member of her community; and be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be transmitted to the family of Louise E. Ziemba.
