Assembly Resolution No. 45 BY: M. of A. Stec HONORING the Dake Family/Stewart's Shops upon the occasion of being named the 2018 Community Champion by the Hudson Headwaters Health Foundation WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the achievements of those individuals and businesses which substantially contribute to the economic vitality of their communities and the entire Empire State; and WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor the Dake Family/Stewart's Shops upon the occasion of being named the

2018, at Point O'Pines, Brant Lake, New York; and WHEREAS, The Community Champions Celebration is an annual event which honors individuals, families and businesses that help make our region a healthy and dynamic place to live, work and play; and WHEREAS, The Dake Family sets a tremendous example of the far-reaching impact that local business leaders can have on their communities; and WHEREAS, From Glens Falls to Champlain, the Dake Family's generous support of Hudson Headwaters has helped improve health care throughout the region; and WHEREAS, With their proven business leadership abilities and their evident dedication to their community, the Dake Family is the quintessential selection for the prestigious Community Champion; and WHEREAS, Family owned businesses such as Stewart Shops exert a strong, positive influence on the communities they serve and are a crucial element in the economy of New York State; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to honor the Dake Family/Stewart's Shops upon the occasion of being named the 2018 Community Champion by the Hudson Headwaters Health Foundation; and be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be transmitted to the Dake Family.
