        AN  ACT  to  amend  the penal law, in relation to enacting the "New York
          state antisemitism vandalism act"
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  This act shall be known and may be cited as the "New York
     2  state antisemitism vandalism act".
     3    § 2. The penal law is amended by adding a new section 240.80  to  read
     4  as follows:
     5  § 240.80 Vandalism of pro-Israel print.
     6    A  person  is  guilty  of vandalism of pro-Israel print when he or she
     7  intentionally destroys, damages, removes, or  causes  to  be  destroyed,
     8  damaged  or  removed  any  banner,  poster,  flyer or billboard which is
     9  located in a public space, where the intent or purpose of  such  banner,
    10  poster, flyer or billboard is to bring awareness for Israeli individuals
    11  who  have  been victims of a crime, or to positively support the country
    12  or citizens of Israel in any way.
    13    Vandalism of pro-Israel print is a class A misdemeanor.
    14    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
