        Introduced  by  Sen.  BROUK  -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Insurance
 
        AN ACT to amend the insurance law, in relation to expanding the existing
          definition of wellness programs
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  Paragraphs 11 and 12 of subsection (b) of section 3239 of
     2  the insurance law, as amended by chapter 3 of  the  laws  of  2024,  are
     3  amended and a new paragraph 13 is added to read as follows:
     4    (11)  a  preventive  care  program,  screenings  (including  biometric
     5  screenings), or chronic disease management program; [and]
     6    (12) a stress management program, including participation in  a  medi-
     7  tation or sleep improvement program[.]; and
     8    (13)  a program to address impacts of technology use on the mental and
     9  physical wellbeing of youth.
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day  after  it  shall
    11  have become a law.
