May encourage more municipalities to invest in opioid antagonists. by making state aid more accessible and predictable, potentially expanding community access to life-saving overdose reversal drugs.
Could lead to more efficient use of public health funds. by clarifying eligibility and documentation requirements, reducing confusion or delays in reimbursement, and supporting local public health responses to the opioid crisis.
