What's happening

This resolution sets the official meeting hours for the Senate in 2025-2026: Mondays and Tuesdays at 3 PM, other days at 11 AM.

Why it matters

  1. Affects legislative workflow and scheduling. The set meeting times determine when senators must be present to conduct official business, which can influence the pace and efficiency of passing legislation.

  2. Impacts accessibility for the public, advocates, and staff. Knowing the standard hours in advance allows stakeholders to better plan visits, testimonies, and advocacy efforts, potentially increasing civic engagement.

  3. May affect work-life balance for senators and staff. Later start times on Mondays and Tuesdays could accommodate travel from home districts or other commitments, while earlier times on other days may impact daily routines.
