Purpose
To recognize the historic significance of Roger Tory Peterson to the Jamestown area by naming the bridge on Interstate 86 which crosses over the Falconer-Kimball Stand Road/County Route 138 in the Town of Ellicott as the "Roger Tory Peterson Memorial Bridge."
Summary of provisions
Section 1. Adds a new Section 342-11 to the highway law designating a portion of interstate route eighty-six as the "Roger Tory Peterson Memorial Bridge."
Section 2. Provides that the Commissioner of the Department of Transportation shall provide for the installation and maintenance of adequate signage reflecting the ceremonial designation of this bridge as the "Roger Tory Peterson Memorial Bridge."
Justification
