What's happening
This bill amends existing law to specify Dancewave, Inc. as eligible for financing and construction of capital facilities.
Why it matters
Expanding eligibility to “Dancewave, Inc.” (not just “Dancewave of Brooklyn, New York”) clarifies and likely broadens the entity’s legal identity for funding and construction purposes, potentially avoiding confusion or legal challenges about which organization qualifies.
By specifying Dancewave, Inc. in the law, the bill ensures this not-for-profit arts organization can access public financing tools for building, expanding, or improving their facilities—helping secure infrastructure needed for community arts and youth programs.
The technical clarification could streamline or accelerate capital project approval and funding processes for Dancewave, Inc., supporting their ability to serve more people and expand their impact in the arts sector.
