What's happening

This bill requires at least one voting machine per 1,400 registered voters at polling sites in New York City.

Why it matters

  2. Targets resource allocation in high-population areas. (like New York City), which often see long lines and logistical challenges during elections, helping to ensure that voters can cast ballots in a timely manner.

  3. Could improve voter confidence and participation. by making the voting process smoother and less frustrating, particularly in historically underserved neighborhoods that might experience equipment shortages.
