What's happening

Allows for public input and scrutiny. before significant taxpayer-funded contracts go to foreign suppliers, potentially surfacing concerns about local job impacts, supply chain reliability, or ethical sourcing.
Could influence procurement decisions. by introducing a public review step, which may encourage authorities to consider domestic alternatives or address community priorities more directly during the purchasing process.
